No Bake Easter Egg Oreo Balls
Easter egg Oreo cookie balls are classic Oreo truffles, just shaped into cute little eggs for the holiday. The center is made from crushed Oreos mixed with cream cheese, so it is rich, smooth, and tastes like cookies and cream fudge. Then you coat each egg in melted chocolate or candy melts for that satisfying snap on the outside.
They are the perfect no bake Easter treat because they are easy to customize. Make them all white chocolate for a clean pastel look, mix in milk or dark chocolate for a richer flavor, or add sprinkles and drizzles to match your Easter theme. They also travel well, which makes them great for treat boxes and party trays
Best part, you can make them ahead and keep them chilled until you are ready to serve.

How to make Easter egg Oreo cookie balls
These come together fast, the only real wait time is chilling so the eggs dip cleanly.

Step 1: Crush the Oreos
Add Oreos into a food processor and pulse them into fine crumbs. If you use a bag and rolling pin, crush until you get a sandy texture with little to no chunks.

Step 2: Mix the filling
Add softened cream cheese, cream filling from the oreo and mix before combining with the crumbs to turn into a thick dough. It should hold its shape when you squeeze it.

Step 3: Scoop and shape
Scoop the mixture into equal portions, roll into balls, then gently pinch and shape into egg ovals. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. For this recipe, i used plastic egg molds i had which made the process much easier.

Step 4: Chill
Refrigerate for at least 30 to 45 minutes, or freeze for about 15 minutes. This helps the eggs stay firm when you dip them.

Step 5: Melt the coating
Melt white chocolate or candy melts in short intervals of about 10-seconds, stirring between each interval until smooth. If it looks thick, stir in a tiny bit of coconut oil or shortening.

Step 6: Dip and set
Dip each egg, tap off extra coating, then place back on parchment. Add sprinkles right away while the coating is wet.

Step 7: Add drizzle and details
Once the coating has set, drizzle with a contrasting chocolate color or add simple candy melt stripes. For this recipe, i used yellow, pink and blue to contrast against the plan white of the coasting Let everything set completely before serving or storing.
Quick tip: If your eggs start getting soft while you dip, pop them back in the fridge for 10 minutes and keep going.
Tips for perfect cookie balls
These little details make shaping and dipping much easier, and they help your eggs look smooth and bakery cute.
-
Soften the cream cheese first. Cold cream cheese leaves lumps and makes the mixture harder to shape.
-
Crush cookies into fine crumbs. Pulse oreo into fine crumbs as they bind better and give a much smoother center.
-
Chill before dipping. This helps the firm eggs which in turn dip cleaner and hold their shape. If they feel soft, chill again.
-
Keep chocolate smooth. Melt slowly and stir often. If it looks thick, add a tiny bit of coconut oil or shortening.
-
Tap off extra coating. Tap the fork gently on the bowl edge so you do not get big puddles.
-
Decorate in the right order. When decorating, sprinkles go on right away, drizzle goes on after the coating sets.
-
Avoid condensation cracks. If you freeze the eggs, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before dipping so moisture does not form on the surface.
-
Work in small batches, keep half the eggs in the fridge while you dip the other half.

Don’t have to stick the classic, play around with these variations to change the flavor or look without changing the method.
- Golden Oreo Easter eggs
Use Golden Oreos for a vanilla cookie center, then dip in white chocolate. This one is extra pretty with pastel sprinkles.
- Mint Oreo eggs
Use Mint Oreos and dip in dark chocolate for a richer, minty bite. Add a green drizzle for a fun Easter look.
- Lemon Oreo eggs
Use Lemon Oreos for a bright spring flavor. White chocolate coating works best, then add yellow sprinkles or a lemon drizzle.
